Campus Minister/Bible Chair Director Needed
The Amarillo Bible Chair in Amarillo, Texas, is looking for a Director/Campus Minister to serve the campus of Amarillo College due to the impending retirement of our current director. AC is a two-year community college which offers many associates level degrees, including an A.A. degree in religion through its Bible Chairs. The successful candidate must have at least a master’s degree in Bible or a directly related field, and have a heart for college students. He must be a faithful member of the churches of Christ and be married to a wife who also has a heart for this kind of work. He must be capable of establishing a healthy collegial relationship with the rest of the Amarillo College faculty and staff (administrators, faculty and support staff). He will be inheriting an established and successful work, so he won’t have to build it from scratch.The job description includes leading and organizing an effective outreach ministry at Amarillo College, teaching both academic and informal Bible classes, and helping mature the faith of both new Christians and those who already have a healthy relationship with Christ.This campus ministry is overseen by the Bell Avenue Church of Christ, but supported by several area congregations. Sound preaching and teaching is paramount, coupled with the energy and drive to develop relationships within the community - evangelize. Pulpit Minister: North Woodlands Area church of Christ
Reports to: Eldership of the North Woodlands Area church of Christ
Work Location: Magnolia, Texas and the surrounding communities
Job Purpose: This individual will be charged with helping to direct the congregation in a Godly direction for potential growth of the church locally
Job Qualifications: Degree in “Bible” or the equivalent and/or generally more than 5 years of pulpit experience.
Must be able to provide legal proof to work in the US
Must pass a criminal background check
At ease using computer and typical software packages such as Word, Power Point, Excel, Adobe, etc.
Preferred individual is comfortable publishing a short article to the church website
Experience in using social media such as Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Must be able to navigate the internet
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Present weekly biblical sermons
2. Teach weekly bible class
3. Visit members of the church
4. Make hospital visits
5. Provide elders with a weekly written activity update
6. Prepare weekly article or comments for website and or bulletin
7. Evangelize within the community
8. Conduct bible studies
9. Attend at least 1 (or 2) outside seminars or conferences per year for personal/professional development and edification. The seminar or conference would require approval of the Elders and paid for out of church funds
10. Support and participate in congregational activities and fellowship events
11. Interact in a friendly manner with members and guests
12. Bring to the attention of the elders issues, concerns or problems associated with members of the congregation
13. Suggest to the elders areas of change or modification for improvement within the operation of the North Woodlands Area church of Christ
14. Always consider in decision making, “Will this help to glorify the LORD?”
Benefits
1. vacation year one two weeks
2. vacation year two and following three weeks
3. Select own workweek except for Sunday and Wednesday which are mandatory work days
4. Annual compensation TBD and based on qualifications
If necessary, other benefits may be negotiated at the time of employment offer and will be included in an employment contract.

Details: The Hill Street church of Christ in Albany, Oregon has been established in Albany since 1937. Hill St. is a loving congregation with a heart and desire to be Christ’s servants to our community. We have a solid core team. We currently have two elders and 3 deacons. The congregation has a mix of ages in the church with several young families, middle aged and older members as well. We are a congregation that cares for its members and the community we live in. We have a Community Closet we use to reach out to the poor and homeless in our community with a special emphasis on helping the homeless teens and their families of our nearby high school. We have carried on Vacation Bible School, small groups, support an orphanage in South India as well as supporting two missionaries. We give away food baskets every Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Hill Street is a body of believers well-grounded in God’s word with a desire to reach out to our friends and neighbors with the Gospel of Christ.

We are looking for someone with the heart of a servant to work with us. Someone who is a faithful member of Christ’s church. Preaching experience is desired with good communication skills. Someone who is sound in faith and committed to member development and church growth.
