Full-Time Minister

Pecos Church of Christ

We are seeking an experienced man of mature faith to work with us. Our current minister is moving on after a successful sixteen year tenure. We are a mainstream, a cappella congregation who believe we must have a "Thus says the Lord" for all we believe and practice. Sunday morning attendance averages 65-70. We are a mission-minded congregation having supported a successful work in the Bahamas for nearly 30 years. We support a number of children's homes, and have supported students and staff at Sunset International Bible Institute for many years. We have also broadcast 15-minute programs on the local AM radio station three days per week for the last sixteen years. Our local work also includes a Spanish-speaking congregation of about 25, who share our facilities.

The ideal candidate will be a man with at least five years of preaching experience, and a passion for preaching the simple truth of God's word. A graduate of a university or preaching school associated with churches of Christ is preferred.

Responsibilities include preaching at the Lord's day assemblies, teaching Sunday morning and Wednesday evening Bible class, hospital visits, bulletin preparation, and producing radio programs for broadcast on the local AM station.
